Mindfulness can be defined as “Being in the present moment without judgements” (Jon Kabat Zinn), bringing mind and body into the present moment with clarity and awareness. We can change our behaviour to help us live our lives meaningfully with kindness and understanding.
This is a gentle introductory Mindfulness Workshop where basic techniques are shown, through meditation and exercises followed by group reflection and discussion. You will receive information on how to follow the practice at home plus a CD to take away.
Please wear something loose and comfy for lying down exercises (depending on mobility). Bring some slippers if you wish or extra socks as we will be removing our shoes. Also bring a shawl or small blanket if you wish for added comfort.
